Watchwords is a vocabulary tool. You keep words from videos you are already watching, and the app schedules them for review.
You need an account to sync between the browser and the phone, and you create one with Sign in with Apple. Keep control of the Apple Account behind it, because anyone who can sign in with it can read your words. You must be old enough to hold an Apple Account in your country.
Use Watchwords for your own learning, on the devices you own. That is the whole licence: personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable if these terms are broken.
Watchwords does not host, mirror or redistribute any video or subtitle track. Both subtitle lines are read out of the page YouTube or Netflix already served you, in your own browser. Everything you see stays subject to their terms and the rights of whoever made the video. The short line of context saved alongside a word is stored for you, privately, so you can remember where you met it.
The free version keeps up to 200 words. Paying takes that limit off, and takes the one small banner with it. There are three ways to buy:

All three are sold through Apple, and Apple charges your Apple Account. A subscription renews automatically unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours before the period ends, in Settings on your device. Prices shown here are in US dollars and may differ in your storefront.
Everything else is free, and stays free. Watching, tapping a word, the scheduler, the reminders, the statistics, the grammar guides and the whole book library are not behind the purchase. Words in a free collection never expire, nothing is taken away, and deleting a word frees its place straight away.
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Synton cannot issue a refund for an App Store purchase directly, though we are happy to help you with the request.
Cancel a subscription in Settings on your device. Cancelling stops future charges. At the end of the paid period the 200 word limit and the banner come back, but nothing you collected is deleted: every word you kept stays, and you can add new ones again once the collection is back under 200. Cancelling does not delete your account. To delete the account itself, see the privacy policy.
Watchwords is offered as it is. Reviews work offline and your words are stored on the device, so a server outage does not stop you studying, but no uptime is promised and features can change. If something is removed that you paid for, you will be told before it happens.
To the extent the law allows, Synton is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
These terms can change. Material changes are announced in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use Watchwords after that is acceptance. The date at the top is always current.
These terms are governed by French law, without displacing any mandatory protection you have where you live.
